Thermal incinerators (TNV)

The hardening oil vapours that are released from oil-treated steel parts in the tempering furnace are extracted by the thermal incinerator, and combusted at temperatures of 800°C to 900°C.

Thermal incineration is the most efficient waste gas cleaning process for removing pollutants from process air. In the redox reaction, the substances to be emitted are almost completely converted to water and carbon dioxide; the waste gas piped into the flue has residual concentrations that are below the limit values set in the Technische Anleitung zur Reinhaltung der Luft [German Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control ‑ TA Luft].
